This Policy explains how DestinyPaths — operated by DestinyPaths Culture Limited (玄機閣文化(香港)有限公司) as data controller — collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information, and our commitment to keeping your consultation content confidential. By using the Platform, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy.
Account data (email, display name, password hash); Birth profile (name, date, time and place of birth, gender) — used for charting and consultations; Order and payment data (order records; payments are handled by third-party processors and we do not store full card numbers); Consultation content (in-app messages with masters, uploaded materials, delivered reports); Technical data (IP, device and browser info, cookies / local storage).
Your date, time and place of birth are personal data used solely to generate your chart and provide consultations and related services. We do not sell this data or use it for unrelated purposes. You may view, edit or delete your birth profile at any time in your account.
To provide and improve charting/consultation/items/ritual services; process orders, payments and refunds; relay consultation messages between you and masters; account security and fraud prevention; and send service notifications where permitted or with your consent.
We take your privacy seriously. Your birth information, questions and consultation content are disclosed only to the master handling your order, and only to the extent necessary to provide the service. We will not disclose your personal consultation content to unrelated third parties without your consent.
Masters are bound by confidentiality obligations upon joining the Platform: they must not disclose, distribute, or use a client’s personal information or consultation content for any purpose beyond providing the service, and these obligations continue after the service concludes.
Legal exceptions: we may disclose information where required by applicable law, regulation or a competent authority, or where necessary to protect the life, safety or lawful rights of any person.
We share information only: (i) with the master handling your order (as necessary to provide the service); (ii) with third-party providers such as payment and email services (only as needed to deliver their function to us); and (iii) where required by law or to protect lawful rights. We do not sell your personal information.
The Platform serves users worldwide; our servers and databases are currently hosted in Hong Kong (Tencent Cloud, Hong Kong). If you are located elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and stored in Hong Kong. We take reasonable measures to protect data in cross-border transfers.
We use necessary cookies and browser local storage for basic functions such as keeping you logged in and remembering your language preference. You can manage or clear these via your browser settings, though some features may be affected.
We retain your information for as long as needed to provide services and to meet legal, financial and dispute-resolution requirements; beyond that, we delete or anonymize it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information (e.g. hashed passwords, encrypted transmission, access controls). However, no system is perfectly secure, so please safeguard your account credentials.
Depending on the laws applicable in your region (e.g. EU GDPR, UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can manage your birth profile in your account, or contact us at the email below to exercise these rights.
The Platform is intended for persons aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; if we become aware of such data, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Policy from time to time, posting the effective date on this page. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
